Demineralised (DI) Water

Short definitionWater of very low conductivity from which almost all dissolved salts have been removed with cation and anion exchange resins.

DI water is used in boiler, laboratory, surface treatment and electronics applications. For large capacities, an RO + EDI or RO + mixed bed combination is economical; for small capacities, exchangeable DI cartridges. The degree of purity is expressed as conductivity (µS/cm) or resistivity (MΩ·cm).
