How do Disinfection Systems work?
Disinfection systems ensure microbiological safety by eliminating bacteria, viruses and microorganisms in the water; at the same time, they oxidise iron and manganese compounds so that they can be filtered out easily.
Our chlorine disinfection systems are offered with three dosing pump options: on/off controlled, flow-proportional and ORP-controlled chlorine dosing pumps. This ensures correct dosing in plants with both constant and variable flow. They are delivered as a complete set with a dosing tank, suction filter, non-return valve and injection valve.
UV disinfection systems, on the other hand, inactivate microorganisms by exposing them to ultraviolet light. UV light at a wavelength of 254 nm destroys 99% of pathogenic microorganisms without chemical additives or heat, and does not change the taste or odour of the water. Units should be installed close to the point of use, and the treated water should be used without being stored.
